Apartment Sublet
I sublet my apartment to others and now the landlord is asking me to evict them.?
The landlord was trying to see if these people can stay in the apartment basically transfer there name on to lease and remove mine. when he could not —he told me, I must kick them out and change the lock. The people are refusing to leave. since their name are not on the lease, Can I call the police and have them removed without eviction notice? apt. is in Miami, Fl. —-
If they have been there over 2 weeks you need to do the proper eviction process.
If your landlord did not give you permission to sub-lease you could face charges for an illegal rental, But, still they have to be properly evicted since they were invited in and given a key.
