Monthly Condo Rentals
estate commision~~~ rental fee above $2500 a month?
I pre-conracted the condo, which monthly rental fee is $4000 a month. I didn’t see that I don’t need to pay for the agent fee if I rent the place paid above $2500 a month. but estate agent keep ask me pay and I said I don’t need to pay. then he said the landlord doesn’t want to pay that’s why I have to pay. Is that make sense to you?
I paid $4000 for deposit already. that’s the reason why I can’t tell him first I want to break the contract.
Please let me know what do i do?
any good tactics, which I can make him sorry to me or shut him up?
by the law, if I pay $2500 or less for monthly rental, I have to pay half of the lental fee for 1year contract for commision or full of monthly rental fee for 2years contract. but more than $2500 every other agent said no commision from myside. because the agent belongs to landlord have to pay half of commision from landlord to co-broker.
The commision is not part of the rent and you are probably responsible for it. It is the cost of getting the apt.
BTW any good tactics you might use. Might get you sued.
